Mathias, with a background in management information systems and software development, has over 20
years of experience in the agency sector. He co-founded a top 30 German digital agency in 1998, which
merged into UDG in 2011, marking one of Germany’s first major digital agency mergers with Private Equity
backing. Throughout his career, he has specialized in digital experience delivery and program management,
focusing on aligning teams and services during agency acquisitions and large-scale projects, predominantly
employing agile methodologies. Since 2019, Mathias has been co-heading the 350+ member CX entity within
PIA, following UDG’s incorporation into PIA.
